OUR STORY
Humble Bagel was founded by Casey Mackintosh, from just outside of Washington D.C., and Tara Mikhail, a native of Long Island. Together, they envisioned an authentic, New York style bagel shop in the heart of Uptown New Orleans.
Humble Bagel bakes authentic, hand-rolled, kettle-boiled bagels fresh daily. We designed the kitchen to be open so that everybody can see the process of boiling and baking fresh bagels.
Our bagels are made of five ingredients: Flour, Water, Steen’s Cane Syrup, Salt, and Yeast. Be sure to ask about our daily special!
Please check out our mason jar recycling program! We fresh squeeze our orange juice daily, you can keep the mason jar or receive $1 off your next juice purchase if you return it.
Whenever possible, local ingredients are used. We believe in New Orleans and we want to support it, including the use of Steen’s Cane Syrup and locally roasted coffee.
We love dogs! We have outdoor seating so be sure to bring your furry friends to have bagels with you!
Our darlings: Buffy the pug and Knuckles the pit mix. Knuckles was rescued from Canine Connection on Tchoupitoulas. Buffy is the boss, of course.
